Eminem Hits Top Spot

US rap star Eminem has scored his sixth UK number one in the album chart with his latest release, Recovery.

Recovery follows his previous album, Relapse, which was his first number one after a four-year hiatus.

Eminem's previous UK number one albums are Encore, The Eminem Show, The Marshall Mathers LP, compilation album Curtain Call - The Hits, and Relapse.

He also has two top 10 singles in this week's Official UK singles chart, Not Afraid and I Love The Way You Lie.

Not Afraid has crept up from last week's number six to five, while I Love The Way You Lie, featuring Rihanna, is a new entry at number seven.

Rapper Dizzee Rascal and comedian James Corden's unofficial World Cup anthem, Shout, dropped to number three after two weeks at number one.

The End
Katie Perry took the top spot with California Gurls, featuring rapper Snoop Dogg.

On the album chart, there were two other new entries.

Won't Go Quietly, the debut album from UK rapper Example, went straight in at number four.

Miley Cyrus's Can't be Tamed debuted at number eight, while The Black Eyed Peas' album, The End, is a re-entry at three, up from last week's number 40.
